Anderson, Eva E. (1896? - 22 OCT 1953)

 

Funeral services were held at two o’clock Monday afternoon of this week in Duluth for Mrs. Eva E. Anderson, 57, and burial was made at Oneota Cemetery.  Mrs. Anderson passed away last Thursday in a Duluth hospital.

 

She was born in Cadott, Wis. and had been a resident of Duluth for the past 35 years.  Prior to that time she and her husband were residents of Owen (Clark Co., Wis.) for several years and since leaving here has often returned to visit with her friends in the community.

 

Mrs. Anderson was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church, past president of Auxiliary of Frank Leo Post, VGW, past Eight District color bearers, past Lady Gold Bug of Triad No. 2, Military Order of Lady Bugs and a member of the Women of the Moose, and the West Duluth Council, Royal League No. 319.  She was chairman of cancer drives for both the city of Duluth and the county.

 

Surviving are her husband, John W., four sons, John C., Harris E., George H. and Robert D., all of Duluth; a brother, Clifford Downey, Milwaukee, Wis., and three grandchildren.
