Miss Cleo Studinger, daughter of Mrs. Mae Studinger, of Medford, was given in marriage by her brother, Larry Studinger, of Paducah, Kentucky, to James Nikolay, son of Mrs. Anna Nikolay, of Abbotsford.

For the ceremony, the bride chose a gown of white satin and Chantilly lace. She wore a finger tip veil and carried a bride’s prayer book on which was place a single orchid. At the offertory of the mass, while the "Ave Maria" was being sung, the bride placed a special bouquet of white chrysanthemums and baby mums at the statue of the Blessed Virgin.

Attending the bride, as matron of honor, was her sister, Mrs. Walter Ambrose, of Thorp. Miss Anne Nikolay, sister of the groom, and Miss Ruth Carlson, a friend of the bride, of Juneau, were bridesmaids. Their frocks were made alike with full skirts of net over satin, velvet strapless bodices with velvet boleros. They wore rust-colored baby mums in their hair and carried bouquets of rust colored pompons. Mrs. Ambrose wore a gold colored formal and the bridesmaids wore forest green.

The mother of the bride wore a wine dress with black accessories and the mother of the groom wore a blue suit, with blue accessories. Each had a corsage of yellow roses and white stephanotis.

Attending the groom as best man was his brother, Frank Nikolay. Dick Studinger, brother of the bride, of Appleton, and George Nikolay, another brother of the groom, were ushers.

After the ceremony, a wedding breakfast was served at the home of the bride’s mother. Dinner for the immediate families, was served at Red and Rose’s, after which a reception was held at the American Legion hall.

Guests were from Kentucky, Milwaukee, Marshfield, Clintonville, Stratford, Madison, Rozellville, Thorp, Medford, and Abbotsford.
