Rockow, Martha (23 Nov. 1886 - 13 June 1953) 
 

Funeral services for Mrs. Fred Rockow, 67, who died Saturday, were held Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock at the Hartwick & Ruesch Funeral home at Medford. The Rev. F. H. Sprengler, of Christ Lutheran church, officiated at the services and Miss Shirley Sprengler played and sang, "Abide With Me," and "The Lord is My Shepherd." 
 

For the internment at Evergreen cemetery, Medford, six nephews were pallbearers. They were Ray Holtz, Abbotsford; Ted Rockow; Wilbur, Harold, Edwin and Lyddon Ruesch, all of Medford. 
 

Mrs. Rockow was born Martha Ruesch, in Milwaukee, Nov. 23, 1886, and lived most of her life at Medford. She was married there Nov. 27, 1908, to Fred Rockow. They lived on a farm in the town of Browning and then in Medford until five years ago when they came to Abbotsford. Mrs. Rockow had asthma the past 25 years, but suffered a stroke on May 29, and was taken to St. Joseph’s hospital, Marshfield, where she died at 10:15 Saturday morning. 
 

Surviving are her husband, three daughters, Mrs. Arnold (Dorothy) Daellenbach, of Omro; Mrs. Donald (Alice) Elstrom, of Highwood, Ill.; Mrs. Arnold (Linda) Scornavacco, of Highland Park, Ill.; and one son, Wilfred, of Oshkosh. 
 

There are five grand children and two great grand children. A brother, Herman Ruesch, of Medford, and two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Grahl, Medford, and Mrs. Herman Holtz, of Abbottsford, also survive. 
 

All of the children were here for the funeral and many relatives from Medford, Dorchester, and Abbotsford, attended. Among those from a distance were Mr. and Mrs. Rufus Rockow, Elton Rockow and Mrs. Ferdinand Miller and daughter, of Sturgeon Bay.
