Mr. and Mrs. Fred Dietsche are observing the 50th anniversary of their marriage today. A High Mass at 9:00 o’clock at St. Bernard’s Catholic church, celebrated by the Rev. Raymond Schulz, was attended by the children and some of the grand children of the honored couple. Preceding the Mass, the choir sang, "Mother, at Your Feet is Kneeling," after which the couple’s marriage vows were blessed. The offertory hymn was "On This Day O Beautiful Mother."

Mrs. Dietsche was born Frances Rocheleau, Jan. 9, 1881, in Texas, and when only a small child, the family moved to a farm near Spencer.
