Freida M. Adams, 79, Chippewa Falls, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 28, 2009 at Sacred Heart Hospital, Eau Claire. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11 a.m., on Friday, July 31, at Holy Ghose Catholic Church, Chippewa Falls. Interment in The Mausoleum at Calvary Cemetery followed the service and fellowship.

Freida M. Greening was born on May 5, 1930, in Eau Claire, to Leo and Josephine (nee Ticer) Greening. She married Donald E. Adams on July 5, 1952, at St. Patrick's Church, Eau Claire, and they lived in the area all their lives.

She loved life and the world as it was. She enjoyed gardening; both raising flowers and vegetables. She was a very active member of the Holy Ghost Catholic Church, Chippewa Falls, being in the choir, as well as volunteering for many projects. Her love of music was displayed by her participation in the Chippewa Valley Gospel Choir. She loved going to sports events with her grandchildren and the events they were involved in. She was a member of The Red Hat Society and oh, how she loved her chocolates and partying with her neighbors. In the past, she was an avid bowler, doing mixed doubles with her husband. She was a past president of the Eau Claire P.T. A. and a Cub Scount den mother. She loved all children which was evident by her having numerous foster children over the years.

Survivors include three children, Donn(Kim), Elk Mound, Mark, Eau Claire, and Kathy (Larry), Osseo; 11 grandchildren, Stacy, Sean, Jason, Ariel and Jeremy, Nicole, Larry Jr., Bridget and Stephanie and Cody and Sammy; 17 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Doris (Bob) Berzinski, Stanley, Ginger Greening, Willard, and Pat (Mike) Sixel, Eau Claire; one brother Michael (Ellen) Artac, Willard; many foster children; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Leo Greening and Ludwig and Josephine Artac; and her husband, Donald, in 1993.

The Stokes, Prock and Mundt Funeral Chapel, Altoona, assisted the family with arrangements.
