Timlin, Alice D. (19 October 1915 - 1 July 2009)

 

Alice D. Timlin, 93, of rural Stanley, died Wednesday July 1, 2009, at Our Lady of Victory Hospital, Stanley. 

 

She was born on October 19, 1915, in the Town of Worden to the late Oscar and Bertha (Haas) Boie. She graduated from Thorp High and later married Millard Timlin, on October 29, 1935, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Stanley.  The couple were lifelong farmers in the Town of Worden. Alice was a long time member of Holy Family and joined St. Clara’s Circle in 1972. She loved to play Bingo and did a lot of embroidering of different things.

 

Alice is survived by her two sons: Milton (Mary) Timlin of Glenwood, IL and Millard "Pat" (Patty) Timlin of Stanley; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. 

 

She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two brothers and one step-sister.

 

A funeral Mass was held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 7, 2009, at Holy Family Catholic Church. Father Bob Nelson officiated.  Burial followed at the parish cemetery.  Visitation was from 5 until 7 p.m. on Monday at the Plombon Funeral Home.
