Kryzanski, Dolores Adele (17 March 1935 - 25 June 2009)

 

Dolores A. Kryzanski, age 74, of Thorp, passed away at Sacred Heart Hospital, in Eau Claire, on Thursday, June 25, 2009. 

 

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, June 29, 2009, at the Thorp Funeral Home Chapel, with Fr. Allen Phillips officiating. Burial will take place in East Thorp Cemetery at a later date. Visitation was held at Thorp Funeral Home on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.

 

Dolores Adele Jackson was born on March 17, 1935, in Byron, WI, the daughter of Clarence and Adele (Engebretson) Jackson.  She was raised and received her education in the Withee, WI area, graduating from Withee High School in 1953.  Dolores then enrolled in the Eau Claire Beauty School and completed a course in cosmetology.  She moved to Lake Geneva, where she worked as a housekeeper and nanny for two years.  Dolores moved back to Thorp and worked at Thorp Finance as a bookkeeper until her marriage to Mike Kryzanski on May 23, 1964, at Nazareth Lutheran Church, in Withee.  In 1984, she went to work for the Thorp School District as a recess supervisor and a teacher’s aide until 2001.  In 2004, Dolores went to work at D & J Hardware in Thorp, now D & J Farm and Home, where she worked as a clerk until May of 2009.

 

She had many interests, but especially loved spending time with her grandchildren, reading, camping and traveling.

 

Dolores will be dearly missed by her husband , Mike, of Thorp; four children: Brent (Rhonda) Kryzanski of Parker, CO, Todd (Sue) Kryzanski of Thorp, Jan (Dan) Stroinski of Thorp, Kris Kryzanski of Eden Prairie, MN; seven grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and one step-great-grandson.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Lester Jackson.
