Wenzel, Christina #2 (16 JUL 1826 - 11 JAN 1909)

Mrs. Christina Wenzel died Monday at the home of her son, Anthony, in this city (Neillsville, Clark Co., Wis.).  The remains, accompanied by Mr. Wenzel, were taken to Saukville Monday night where burial was made Tuesday afternoon at the side of her husband.

Mrs. Wenzel was born in Germany July 16, 1826.  In 1843 she was united in marriage to Charles Wenzel and in 1854 they and their family located near Saukville on a farm.  Ten children were born to them.  Twelve years ago Mr. Wenzel died, and four years ago Mrs. Wenzel came to Neillsville and made her home with her son.  Seven children survive Mrs. Wenzel.  They are Anthony, Herman, Emil, Mrs. Chas. Liske of Milwaukee, Mrs. John Schick of Ludington, Mich., Mrs. Ed Bogan of of Duluth and Mrs. Richard Mehastein of Plymouth.

Mrs. Wenzel was a lady of high integrity and Christian morals.  All her life she was a member of the Lutheran Church and lived a good and peaceful life.
