Grambort, Bertha (17 June 1873 - 22 Aug. 1950)

COLBY, WIS. -- Mrs. Fred Grambort, 77, Colby, died at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Wausau Memorial Hospital, Wausau. She had been in poor health for several years.

Services will be held at the Zion Lutheran church, Colby, at 2:00 o’clock Friday afternoon. The Rev. Otto Hoffmann will officiate and burial will be made in the Colby (Colby, Clark Co. Wis.) Cemetery.

Mrs. Grambort, the former Bertha Kobs, was born June 17, 1873, in the town of Colby, Wis. She received her education in the public schools here and on Nov. 20, 1880, she was married to Fred Grambort, in the town of Green Grove. About 50 years ago they moved to Colby where they lived since.

She is survived by her husband, the following children, Fred, Miss Malena Grambort, Mrs. E. J. (Antonia) Doyle, and Mrs. Axel (Alberta) Lidman, Chicago; Hubert, Ashland; Walter and Gilbert, Abbotsford; Major Everett, Glen Burnie, Md.; Miss Edna Grambort, San Francisco, Calil.; and Mrs. Les (Dorice) Guetschow, Stevens Point; 19 grand children, and one sister, Mrs. Anna Bleichroth, Colby, Wis.

Mrs. Grambort, the mother of a large and gifted family, some of whom now have "silver threads among the gold," died as she lived - honored, loved and trusted. She was a good Christian, a true friend and her devotion to those she loved would make a bright chapter in any life.
