Hennlich, Emily Ann (30 Apr. 1949)

Miss Emily Ann Hennlich, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Hennlich, Curtiss, became the bride of Harry Elert, Jr., Saturday, April 30, at the Curtiss Congregational church. Officiating at the 2:00 p.m. service was the Rev. C. S. Matthews, of Owen. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Elert, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Mrs. Elert is a graduate of the Abbotsford high school and the Hade School of Designing, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. After a short wedding trip to Minneapolis, the couple will make their home at 958 North Prospect avenue, Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Mrs. George Edwards was her sister’s matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss La Vern Dohr, Grafton, and Miss Ruth Elert, sister of the groom. Attending the groom were Donald Wolff, Robert Hennlich and Kenneth Elert, all of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Ice-blue slipper satin was worn by the bride. Bordering the skirt was self covered cording and it was inserted with white lace. Trimming the yoke were lace and pearl beading. A veil of illusion, bordered with lace, fell from the bride’s pearl and rhinestone headpiece, and she carried pink and white roses.

Blue taffeta, fashioned with high necks and side peplum drapes, formed the gowns worn by the bridesmaid and matron of honor. They wore pearls and matching earrings. Their headdresses were of matching net and they carried blue and white carnations. The gowns were designed by the bride.

Following the wedding, dinner was served to 85 in the parish hall at Curtiss, and in the evening a dance was held at the Curtiss village hall.
