Lukas, Richard George (13 Mar. 1948 - 1 Oct. 1948)

An Angel High Mass was sung for baby Richard George Lukas, who died Oct. 1, at St. Bernard’s Catholic church Monday morning at 9:30. The body lay in state at the Zink Funeral Home.

Special singing was provided by Mrs. C. T. Dolan, who sang "Dear Angel Ever at My Side," as a processional; "Ave Maria," by Neummers, at the offertory, and "Ave Maria, Bright and Pure," as a recessional.

The pallbearers were Tom Vetter, Louis Janda, James Lamont, and James Steffen.

The altar boys were Robert Morrow, a cousin, James Seidel, and Frederick Shields.

The flowers were carried by the Misses Carol and Mary Dolan, Mary Shields, Anne Nikolay, Betty Lamont and Ann Janda.

Internment was made in the Abbotsford cemetery.

Richard George Lukas was born March 13, 1948, at St. Joseph’s hospital, Marshfield. He became ill about a month ago and was hospitalized for three weeks at Wisconsin General hospital, Madison, where he died of broncho-pneumonia at 3:30 a.m. Friday.

He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Lukas, his twin brother, Roger Frank, his paternal grand parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Lukas, and maternal grand parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Lundahl.

Among the relatives and friends from away who were present for the services were Mrs. Mary Lukasiewicz, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Lukasiewicz and daughter, and Mrs. Louis Wojtkiewicz, of Thorp; Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Sternal and family, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Wysocki, Jr., and family, and Richard Sternal, of Chicago.
