Pleasant Ridge (1 July 1971)

Mrs. Ralph Lund of New Richland, Minn., spent a week recently with her sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. George Erickson.

Mrs. Dell Hayes, Mrs. Rick Hayes, and Amy and Ann Pelberg of Hillman, Minn. and Mrs. Don Hulsiek of Minneapolis visited during the week at the homes of their cousins, Mrs. Robert Canfield and Mrs. Robert Ratsch. They also called on their aunt, Mrs. Grace Daniels, at Memorial Home.

Mr. and Mrs. Archie Bequette of Fairchild visited with Mrs. Martha Gerhardt Sunday at the Theamore vine home.

Joe Wilson of Skokie, Ill. is spending a couple of weeks with his aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Kuechenmeister.

Mr. and Mrs. Dale Short are expecting Mr. and Mrs. Hans Schuler of Switzerland, presently living in Manchester, England, to arrive August 14, for a three-week visit. Mrs. Schuler is the former Yvonne Brunner. She lived with the Short family four years ago while in the United States as an AFS exchange student.

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Canfield were Sunday visitors at the Pete Montgomery home near Phillips.

Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Elmhorst, Sr., and grandsons, Gary and Allen Scharf and Ricky Elmhorst, are enjoying a fishing trip in Canada.

Mr. and Mrs. George Erickson and Mr. and Mrs. Willis Stickert and daughters, Ann and Mary, of Chili, left last Wednesday afternoon on a combined business and pleasure trip through several northwestern states. They went to Glasgow, Mont., traveled through the Dakotas, to northern Minnesota and returned home Monday evening through Duluth and Superior.
