Lindberg, Ruby Joyce (Marriage - 14 Feb. 1948)

Miss Ruby Joyce Lindberg, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Lindberg, Abbotsford and Darrell F. Sossaman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wallace W. Sossaman, Colby, were united in marriage Saturday afternoon, Feb. 14, at the Presbyterian church, Abbotsford, with the Rev. G. E. Griffiths reading the marriage ceremony. The bride’s sister, Mrs. Walter Wolfe, Wausau, was matron of honor, and the groom was attended by his brother, Claude. The bride’s brother, David Lindberg, and Donald Schiebe were ushers.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. The wedding march was played by Mrs. W. R. Berger, and Miss Joyce Merwin sang "Oh Promise Me" and "Oh Perfect Love."

The bride was attired in a grey, pin striped suit with brown accessories and her corsage consisted of red roses and white carnations. The matron of honor wore a black suit with black accessories and carried a corsage of white and pink carnations. The bride’s mother wore a blue crepe dress with light blue accessories and her corsage included carnations and gladioli. The groom’s mother wore a brown suit with black accessories and a corsage of white carnations and gladioli.

A 5:00 o’clock wedding dinner was served at the home of the bride’s parents and in the evening a reception was held at the home of the groom’s parents at Colby, Wis.

The couple left on a wedding trip to Waterloo, Iowa, where they will visit the groom’s aunt. They will make their home in Milwaukee where Mr. Sossaman is employed by the Hot Point Electric company.

Wedding guests included the groom’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Sossaman; the bride’s grand parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Boyer, Abbotsford; the groom’s grand parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. P. Tessmer, Colby; Mr. and Mrs. Walter Wolfe, Wausau; Phyllis Sossaman and Marie Anderson, Colby; Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Sossaman, Herman Sossaman, Ray Kesteloot and Howard Jensen, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Ray Billeb, Medford; Rev. G. E. Griffiths, Edgar; Mr. and Mrs. Louis Kleinstick and daughter, Miss Bernice Bailke, Mrs. Albin Lindberg and daughter, Miss Eunice Larson, Mr. and Mrs. John Fecker, Mrs. William Berger, Miss Joyce Merwin, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Phaneuf and family, Mr. and Mrs. Hans Amacher and Neal Ridderbusch, of Abbotsford, Wis.
