Anderson, Bonnie (11 AUG 1952)

At 4:00 o’clock Monday afternoon, Aug. 11th, 1952 George Bogumill, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Bogumill of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) and Miss Bonnie Anderson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Anderson of Park Falls, Wis. were united in marriage in a double ring ceremony performed by Father Stock at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church Rectory at Park falls. The wedding took place in the presence of about twenty immediate relatives and friends of the couple.

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, was attired in a white satin gown with fitted bodice and long sleeves which came to a point at the wrists. She wore a fingertip veil and her wedding bouquet was a white center camellia surrounded by white asters.

Her sister, Joanne, was her bridesmaid, and was attired in a blue organdy dress with fitted bodice and full skirt with border of white schiffli embroidery. She carried a bouquet of white pompoms, centered with white gladiolus.

Leo Bogumill of Lockbourne Air Force Base, brother of the groom, was best man.

For the occasion the rectory was decorated with roses, gladiolus and nosegays of garden flowers. Piano vocal selections were played during the ceremony by school friends of the bride.

A reception and supper was given by the parents of the bride at Kollmer Hotel at Park Falls, attended by fifty friends and relatives. The dining room was beautifully decorated with bouquets of flowers, white bells and candelabra.

The bride attended Superior State College and St. Mary’s Hospital, Duluth, finishing as laboratory technician. The groom is a graduate of Superior State College and the University of Wisconsin Medical School.

The happy couple spent their honeymoon in a northern Wisconsin resort. On their return they spent several days at the home of the groom’s parents in Thorp and on Saturday evening last, a party in their honor was given at the Moose Hall. The bride’s parents and sister were in attendance.

After Sept. 1st the newlyweds will be at home to their friends at 415 Park St., Madison, Wis.
