Przybylski, Magdolen (22 MAY 1871 - 2 FEB 1952)

 

Death took another early pioneer formerly of this community (Thorp, Clark Co., Wis.).

 

Magdolen Zelazny was born May 22, 1871, in Province Posen, Poland, and died Feb. 2, 1952, in Kenosha, Wis.

 

She came to America with her parents when 15 years old and lived four years in the state of New York, and in 1890 came to Thorp and was united in marriage to Valentine Przybylski that year at St. Bernard’s in Thorp.

 

To this union 12 children were born, the family living on a farm in the town of Withee for about 45 years.

She leaves to mourn her death, 6 sons, Ignatius and Edward F. of Thorp, Lorris and Leon of Kenosha and Frank of Rock Springs, Wyoming, and 6 daughters, Mrs. Pearl Nichi, Mrs. Julia Naydihor, Mrs. Bernice Krischbaum, Mrs. Anna Setter, Mrs. Ida Schultz and Mrs. Helen Szafranski of Kenosha.

All the children attended her funeral except Frank.

 

Her grandson, Rev. Francis Przybylski, officiated at her funeral by saying the requiem mass at St. Casimir’s Church, Kenosha, also holding services at the grave.

 

She was buried in Kenosha beside her husband, who preceded her in death by almost 5 years. The grandsons acted as pallbearers.

 

She spent her last 5 years lving with her oldest daughter, Mrs. Pearl Nichi at Kenosha.
