Kowalewski, Betty #2 (2 JUN 1951)

Miss Betty Lou Kowalewski of Owen (Clark Co., Wis.) was a bride of June 2, 1951. The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Kowalewski, Owen, and Joseph J. Dieringer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Dieringer, Stetsonville, were married at a 9 a.m. Mass at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in the Town of Holway, the Rev. Joseph Seeboth of Stetsonville officiating.

Miss Dorothy Kowalewski, Eau Claire, was her sisters maid of honor. She wore yellow ninon over rayon with matching picture hat and gauntlets. Pink and white carnations formed her colonial bouquet.

Identical bouquets were carried by the bridesmaids, Miss Betty Joe Dieringer, Stetsonville, and Miss Shirley Kowalewski, Owen, sister of the groom and bride, respectively. They also wore gowns of ninon over rayon, the former in blue and the latter in pink, their picture hats and gauntlets matching.

Vernon Kowalewski, Owen, cousin of the bride, was best man. Groomsmen were Milton Wisler, Medford, and James Sternweis, Marshfield, a cousin of the groom.

Carol Gowey, Medford, was flower girl for her cousin. She wore a white ninon over rayon gown and picture hat. Her bouquet consisted of pink carnations and rainbow colored streamers.

The bridal gown of white slipper satin featured lace flower inserts in the long train. The veil of illusion was attached to a net crown decorated with seed pearls. The bride carried a colonial bouquet of red and white roses. The bride’s mother wore a green print dress and the groom’s mother pink and black taffeta. Each had a corsage of red roses and lily of the valley.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the home of the bride. The Dieringers will farm near Stetsonville after their wedding trip to northern Wisconsin.

Out of town guests came from Marshfield, Milladore, Wis. Rapids, Medford, Wausau, Eau Claire, Stetsonville, Rib Lake, Mercer, Pulaski, South Bend, Ind., and Chicago.
