Heagle, George (15 JUL 1881 - 21 JAN 1951)

Funeral services were held at two o’clock Tuesday afternoon from the Griebenow Funeral Home (Owen, Wisconsin) for George Heagle, who passed away on the 21st of January 1951. Death was due to a heart condition and other complications. He was 70 years, 6 months and 6 days of age. Officiating at the final rites were Rev. Shaw of Thorp. Burial was made in the Riverside Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers were: Herman Bartholomay, John Blunck, George Funk, Tony Jensen, Albert Madsen and Thorwald Stigsen.

George Heagle, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Heagle, was born on July 15, 1881 at Seymour, Wis. As a young man he moved with his parents to Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) where he attended the public schools. Later he became a section hand on the railway and continued that vocation until 1922 when he suffered the misfortune of losing a leg in an accident. Since that time he had done very little steady work. The past few years he has been quite ill.

Surviving him are his sister, Mrs. Charles (Eula) Berger, Withee, two half-sisters, Muriel Bivins, Stanley and Maude Lee, who home is in California; one brother, Guy Heagle, Minneapolis, and a half-brother, Lawrence of Rockford, Ill.
