A row occurred on the freight train going south, on Tuesday evening last week, between Spencer and Mannville.

Several rowdies boarded the train at Spencer, and when conductor Frank Krussell, who by the way is on of the finest boys on the road, came around for tickets, some of them refused to produce either the ticket or the equivalent, whereupon a very lively row ensued, during which one of the rowdiest struck Frank in the face with a coupling link, seriously injuring his manly beauty, another struck one of the brakesman in the eye with a coupling pin nearly knocking it out, and when the train arrived at Mannville, the festive youths amused themselves by smashing some of the windows of the depot, and roughly handling the agent.

One of the men has since been arrested and the balance of them have skipped the country, which is a great blessing.
