Schley, Nancy Louise (Rohland) (July 5, 1938 - April 3, 2009)

Nancy Louise Schley, 70, Owen passed away Friday, April 3, 2009 at her residence surrounded by her loving family and under the tender care of the Ministry Home Care Hospice of Marshfield.

Nancy was born July 5, 1938 in Stanley, WI to Julius and Gertrude (Petke) Rohland. She attended grade school at Redville Elementary School and later graduated from Withee High School. Nancy married her love, William Schley on April 2, 1975 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Withee.

Nancy was employed as a school bus driver. She was a dedicated wife and mother who enjoyed gardening and embroidery work. Nancy was both a great cook and recipe collector.

Nancy is lovingly survived by her husband: Bill of Owen, their children: Rebecca (Marvin) Faude of Withee; Sarah (Michael) Crown of Utah; Katherine Etterley of Chippewa Falls; Mark (Susan) Schley of Cadott and Steven (Allison) Schley of Loyal; 13 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She is further survived by her mother Gertrude Rohland of Withee; and her siblings, Curtiss (LeMay) Rohland of Chippewa Falls, William (Now) Schley of Illinois, and Deborah Gengenbach of Eau Claire; along with many other relatives and friends.

Nancy was preceded in death by her father, Julius.

Her memorial service was held at 11AM on Monday, April 6, 2009 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Withee. Rev. Thomas Myhre presided. Burial followed in Riverside Cemetery in the town of Hixon. Her grandsons served as pallbearers.

The Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Owen assisted the family with arrangements.
