Misener, Glenn (28 Feb. 1911 - 10 Dec. 1991)

COLBY, WIS. - Glenn Misener, 80, formerly of Colby, died at 7:45 a.m. Tuesday at Wisconsin Veteran’s Home, King.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Rux Funeral Home, Colby, with the Rev. John Malik of Christ the King Catholic Church, Spencer, officiating. Burial, with military rites by Colby Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2227, will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Colby, Wis. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Friday, at the funeral home.

He was born Feb. 28, 1911, in the Colby area, to the late Van and Anna Misener. He was a World War II veteran. He married Mary Jane Bucki in 1936, and she died Nov. 25, 1968.

He was a barber in Unity and Abbotsford, Wis. He then moved to West Allis, where he worked for the government. After the death of his wife, he moved back to Abbotsford and then later to the Veteran’s Home.

Survivors include four sons, Kenneth and Robert, both of Washburn, Wayne of Stevens Point and Leroy of Rib Lake; one daughter, Mary Ann Treankler of Colby; 15 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

He was also predeceased by two brothers and one sister.
