Bobbe, Kay (Marriage - 26 Jan. 1963)

Rev. F. H. Sprengler officiated at the wedding of Miss Kay Bobbe, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Bobbe of Medford, who was given in marriage by her father to Marvin L. Broeske, son of Mr. and Mrs. Elroy Broeske of Colby in Zion Lutheran church in Colby, at 7:00 o’clock Saturday evening. The nuptial selections, "The Lord’s Prayer" and "The Wedding Prayer" were given by Herbert Juneau of Pittsville.

The bridal gown, fashioned of Chantilly lace and net, was floor-length and the fingertip bridal veil billowed from a star-shaped crown. White carnations were used to fashion the crescent-shaped bridal bouquet.

Miss Susan Juneau of Wausau, the maid of honor, and Miss Linda Bobbe of Medford, the bridesmaid, wore red velvet street-length gowns having bell-shaped skirts and circle necklines. They carried red and white carnations.

Donald Paul of Abbotsford was best man and Lester Bobbe of Medford, the groomsman.

Ushers were David Markus of Colby and Dennis Keiser of Eau Claire.

The wedding reception was held at the V.F.W. Hall at Medford. The newlyweds are residing at Abbotsford, where Mr. Broeske is a service station attendant for the Felker Oil Company. He is a 1958 graduate of Abbotsford High School, from which his bride was graduated in 1960. She has been employed at Marie’s Beauty Salon at Schofield.
