Paul, Rudolph Joseph (6 Feb. 1900 - 9 Aug. 1962)

Rudolph Joseph Paul of Abbotsford, Route 1, died of a heart attack Thursday, Aug. 9, at 3:15 P.M. at the home of his nephew, Eldred Empey. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon in Bethlehem Lutheran church at Milan, Rev. F. H. Sprengler of Dorchester officiating, and internment was made in the church cemetery. Mr. Paul was born in Taylor county on Feb. 6, 1900. He was married to Rose Brunner in Medford on June 24, 1924. After their marriage, they lived in Milwaukee for two years after which they purchased a farm in the town of Holton and lived there since.

Surviving are his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Reuben (Verna) Dake of Milwaukee; Mrs. David (Elaine) Noonan of Wausau and Mrs. Leon (Joyce) Rechner of Stratford; a son, Donald, at home, nine grand children; three brothers, Edgar, Henry and Albert Paul of Dorchester; four sisters, Mrs. George Empey of Abbotsford, Mrs. Edward Brechlin of Dorchester, Mrs. Walter Brunner of Dorchester and Mrs. Gust Brechlin of Abbotsford, Wis. Two brothers and a sister preceded him in death.
