Garbisch, Violet (Marriage - 22 September 1951)

Miss Violet Garbisch, 3329 W. Highland Blvd., Milwaukee, became the bride of Jacque D. Schmidt, 114 Division St., West Bend, on September 22 at the Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Reformation of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The four o’clock double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Piel of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Garbisch of Granton and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Schmidt of West Bend.

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, chose a gown of imported Chantilly lace. Her bridal bouquet consisted of an orchid surrounded by white roses.

Mrs. Arden Hinkelmann served her sister as matron of honor and Miss Margaret Mary Schmidt, sister of the groom, was the bridesmaid.

Robert Kuester, brother-in-law of the groom, of West Bend acted as best man. Leland Garbisch of Milwaukee, Arden Hinkelmann of Neillsville and William Hausmann of West Bend ushered.

Robert Kuester, Jr., served as ring bearer. Scott Moore was the soloist.

Following the wedding, a reception for 150 guests was held at the Machos Hall. After the young couple return from a wedding trip to Niagara Falls, they will reside at 3308 North Oakland Ave., Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

The bride is employed as stenographer for a manufacturing concern in Milwaukee and the groom, who attended the University of Wisconsin at Madison, is affiliated with an insurance company in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Guests from out of town attending the ceremony were from Granton, West Bend, Sheboygan, Edgerton and Oshkosh.
