Munkholm, Shelley Jean (Marriage - 24 April 1971)

Miss Shelley Jean Munkholm and Michael J. Bauer exchanged wedding vows before 100 guests Saturday, April 24, at 1:30 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Neillsville. The Rev. Charles D. Brady officiated at the double-ring ceremony in a church decorated with bouquets of purple gladioli mixed with white daisies and yellow roses.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Frederick J. Munkholm of Rt. 2 Neillsville, and Mr. and Mrs. Edwin J. Bauer of Neillsville.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white satin, empire-waist dress styled with pearl lace trimmed organza sleeves. Her white pillbox hat held a chapel length veil. She carried a bouquet of daisies, baby’s breath and yellow roses.

Mrs. George Baho was the matron-of-honor and Miss Judy Munkholm was the bridesmaid, both sisters of the bride. Their yellow satin, empire-waist style gowns were accented by waist-encircling yellow ribbons. Both attendants wore yellow pillbox hats and carried bouquets of daisies and yellow roses.

Eldon Lundgren of Elmwood served as bestman. Groomsman was Pat Bauer; ushers were Raymond Bauer and Robert Curtis. Mrs. Glenn Short was the organist.

A reception for 150 guests was served at the Silver Dome Supper Club.

The newlyweds will live at 428 Chippewa St. in Eau Claire, where both are students at the District 1 Technical Institute.
