Konieczny, Leona (2 JUN 1951)

Before an altar decorated with lilacs, Miss Leona Konieczny, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Konieczny, Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), repeated nuptial vows with Ted Wojtas, Chicago, at 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church, Thorp. The Rev. Francis Piekarski was the officiating clergyman.

The bride was gowned in a white chiffon and lace gown. Her veil was long and sh carried a bouquet of white, orchid, and white roses and lilies of the valley.

Her attendants included Sophie Wojtas, as maid of honor, Olga Briski, Chicago, Lorraine Malecki, Thorp, and Angeline Pawlak, Milwaukee, as bridesmaids.

All were gowned alike in green, yellow, pink and blue net, respectively, and carried bouquets of white carnations.

Edward Wojtas, Chicago, was best man, and Sylvester Konieczny, Thorp, the bride’s brother, and Joseph Lang, also of Thorp, the bride’s cousin, were groomsmen.

Gloria Wojtas, Chicago, and Sharon Malecki, Thorp, both served as flower girls. Both were attired in lilac net dresses and carried bouquets of carnations.

A reception was held after the ceremony in the P.N.A. Hall, Thorp.

When the couple returns from a honeymoon trip to New York and Canada, they will reside at 3508 W. Wrightwood, Chicago, Ill.
