Mrs. Ewert was a longtime, active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Unity until her health failed. She was a member of the Ladies Aid for more than 62 years. Nettie was a long time leader of the 4-H Club and worked at the Central Wisconsin State Fair for many years. Besides being a loving wife, mother and homemaker, Nettie enjoyed gardening, cooking, knitting and crocheting. Nettie and Lester did considerable traveling with their family and by themselves until their health became too much of a problem. She also cherished the time she spent with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

Nettie is lovingly survived by her husband of 72 years, Lester; two sons, Cal (Romelle) Ewert of Rhinelander and Clair (Audrey) Ewert, Rochester, Minn.; eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Her parents and all of her siblings preceded Nettie in death.
