Foster, Marion (14 APR 1951)

Miss Marion Foster, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Foster, became the bride of Arnold Haas, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Haas of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), in a ceremony performed by Rev. A. M. Muckerheide at St. Bernard’s Church at Thorp at 9:00 o’clock on Saturday morning, April 14th, 1951.

The bride was beautifully gowned in white satin trimmed with lace and a fingertip veil with lace. Her wedding bouquet was of calla lilies.

Attending the couple were Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Tieman of Milwaukee, the latter being attired in a dress of frosted marquisette over yellow.

Mavis Foster, sister of the bride, of Eau Claire, maid of honor, was dressed in frosted marquisette over orchid and Mrs. Elroy Hurth, bridesmaid, of Boyd, wore frosted marquisette over Nile green. The maid of honor and bridesmaids carried bouquets of white carnations and daffodils.

The groom wore a light blue suit. Ed Smith and Roy Foster served as ushers.

Little Sharon Foster, sister of the bride, was flower girl and carried a basket of pink carnations.

A reception was held at the American Legion Hall, where a dinner was served 112 persons at 12:00 noon and a dance given in the evening.

After a wedding trip to the southern part of the state the couple will operate a farm south of Thorp.

Foster of Edson; Mr. and Mrs. Al Wry of Stanley, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Forster and family of Stanley.
