Bieniek, Frank (30 OCT 1935 - 19 OCT 2013)

Frank Bieniek, 77, Stetsonville, died on Saturday, Oct. 19 at his home. A memorial service will be held on Friday, Oct. 25 at 11 a.m. at Hemer Funeral Home in Medford, with Deacon Joseph Stefancin officiating.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
Frank Bieniek was born on October 30, 1935 in Rib Lake to the late Adam and Susan (Kuna) Bieniek. He was a graduate of Rib Lake High School.

On March 23, 1957 in Milwaukee, he married Kathleen H. Ihamaki, who survives. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He then worked in factories and was a police officer in West Bend and Marshfield, and during this time owned and operated BBR Construction until his retirement.

He enjoyed walking in the woods, woodworking, carving, fishing, birds and building birdhouses, the Packers, CB and ham radio, the fall colors, cooking, dehydrating food, storytelling and being a jokester.

In addition to his wife, survivors include six children, Nona (Randi) Carpenter of Mauston, Sally (Roger) Hamm of Chanhassen, Minn., Steven (Kaye) Bieniek of Rochester, Minn., Julie (Lori Heikkinen) Bieniek of Cloquet, Minn., Judith (Rod) Negus of Scandia, Minn. and Michael Bieniek of Golden Valley, Minn.; four sisters, Mary DeBruin of Campbellsport, Stella Pendergast of Eagle River, Evie (Bill) Mathews of West Bend and Kathryn (Jim) Chase of Hardenville, Mo.; two sisters-in-law, Evie Bieniek of Kewaskum and Betty Bieniek of Milwaukee; and 10 grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Robert Holin in 1996; two brothers, Adam and Tony Bieniek; and a sister, Helen Surek.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to his family to be designated at a later date.
