Ebert, Ida (16 Mar. 1894 - 1 Feb. 1961)

Funeral services for Mrs. William Ebert of Colby, age 66, were held at Zion Lutheran church in Colby Saturday afternoon, Rev. William Christian officiating, and internment was made in the Colby Memorial cemetery (Colby, Wisconsin). Mrs. Ebert died in the Marshfield Clinic lobby at 2:45 P.M. of a heart attack February 1 while registering there as a patient. Doctors worked several hours in an attempt to revive her but it was of no avail.

Pall bearers were Arthur Wiersig, Ted Ketterl, Fred Dins, Rudy Dins, Roger Staffeil and Allen Dins, all nephews. Kenneth Schulz sang "Nearer My God to Thee" and "Heaven is My Home." Mrs. Lawrence Priem played the organ.

Ida Dins was born in the town of Colby on March 16, 1894. She married William Ebert January 1st, 1919, who survives her. They farmed in the town of Colby until 1945 when they moved to the city of Colby, Wis. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran church, its Sewing Circle and Ladies’ Aid Society. She was well known for her fine Christian character, and, being of a kindly and friendly disposition, had many friends who will miss her.

Other survivors are a son, Robert, and a daughter, Mrs. Lawrence (Inez) Koffarnus, both of Wausau; two sisters, Mrs. Walter Wiersig and Mrs. Emma Staffeil, both of Colby; and four grand children. Two sons preceded her in death.
