Senkbeil, Henry A. (2 Jan. 1889 - 4 Jan. 1961)

Henry A. Senkbeil, operator of the City Bakery and Grocery in Colby, died of a heart attack early Saturday morning at his home. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon in the Zion Lutheran church, Rev. William Christian officiating, and burial was made in the Colby Memorial cemetery (Colby, Wisconsin). Pall bearers were J. J. Youmans, Clinton Loos, Emil Laabs, Frank Marquardt, Charles Rasmussen and E. A. Fleischauer.

Mr. Senkbeil was born in Sheboygan county on January 2, 1889, and married Ella Plutte in the town of Green Grove on June 3rd, 1911. They lived there until 1924 when they came to Colby and began operating the City Bakery. Mrs. Senkbeil died on March 10, 1960.

He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Ray (Lorraine) Wollert of Colby and two grand children.

Mr. Senkbeil was well known for his honest and industrious character and congenial disposition, always endeavoring to give his customers courteous and fair service. He will be missed by many.

Walters of Chippewa Falls, Wm. Plutte of Curtiss and Miss Viola Spann of Marshfield.
