Wilhelm, Wm. A., Mr./Mrs. (50th - 30 OCT 1950)

Relatives from Duluth and Proctor, Minn., Milwaukee, West Allis, Port Washington, West Bend, Shawano, Bonduel, Cecil and Marshfield, Wis., together with many neighbors and friends from this community helped Mr. and Mrs. Wm. A. Wilhelm celebrate their fiftieth wedding anniversary on Monday, Oct. 30th, 1950. A dinner was enjoyed by the guests at the American Legion Hall at noon and a reception was held in the afternoon.

The Wilhelms were united in marriage in 1900 at St. Michaels, Washington Co., in St. Michael’s Church by Rev. George Muenzer. The witnesses to the ceremony were Mrs. Wm. Wrakerchen of West Vernon and Charles Wilhelm of Eau Claire Lake.

A church service was read by Rev. A. M. Muckerheide at St. Bernard’s Church here Monday morning when the couple repeated the vows of fifty years ago.

Mr. and Mrs. Wilhelm have spent many years of their married life in this community (Thorp, Clark Co., Wis.). They have six children living. One daughter, Isabell Ann, died at the age of 7. The children are: Raymond A. of Modesto, Calif., Dolores; Mrs. A. J. Valente of Milwaukee; Leonard F. of West Allis; Emmett C. of St. Cloud, Minn.; Eugene J. of Thorp, and Rachael, Mrs. Victor Rosik of Green Bay. They have eighteen grandchildren.

All joined in wishing the couple many more years of health and all that goes with it.
