Funeral services will be held at St. Hedwig’s Church at Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) at 10:00 a.m. on Friday July 14, for Ida Czech, 16, who died at the General Hospital at Madison July 10th, 1950. Death was the result of severe burn suffered April 17, 1950, when the can from which she was pouring kerosene onto live coals exploded. Her body was covered by 60 percent flesh burns and several third degree burns.

She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Czech of Hannibal. The body now lies in state at the Thorp funeral home.
