In a double ring ceremony performed at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 24, 1950 at St. Hedwig’s Church, Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), Miss Theresa Konwinski, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Konwinski, Stanley, became the bride of Joseph Rybka, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Rybka, Sr., of Chicago, with Father Francis Piekarski performing the ceremony.

The bride wore a satin gown yoke of lace and crystal beads. The gown ended in a long train edged in lace. Her shoulder length veil was edged with Chantilly lace which connected with a beaded crown. She carried a bouquet of white carnations and chrysanthemums and wore a rhinestone necklace, bracelet and earrings, gift of the groom.

Rosella Konwinski, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. She wore a pink taffeta gown and carried pink carnations.

Bridesmaid Irene Konwinski, another sister of the bride, was gowned in yellow taffeta and carried pink and white carnations. Bridesmaids Helen Sapetta, friend of the bride, wore blue taffeta, Arlene Auman wore green organdy and Rose Mary Burns wore taffeta and pink and white carnations were their bouquets.

Patsy Holewinski, nice of the bride, was flower girl for her aunt’s wedding. She carried a bouquet of pink and white peonies and presented them to the bride at the altar. The bride, accompanied by her maid of honor, place the bouquet before the statue of the Blessed Virgin.

Matt Rybka was best man for his brother.

The bride’s brother, Virgil Konwinski, and her cousins, Edwin Wechlacz and Gerald Herman ushered.

Following the ceremony there was a reception at the P. N. A. Hall at Thorp.

After the wedding trip the bride and bridegroom are at home in Chicago.
