Dickenson, Mary (19 Jan. 1900 - 19 July 1940)

Funeral services for Mrs. George Dickinson who died at her home in the Town of Hull Friday night, were conducted Tuesday morning at 9:30 at St. Mary’s Catholic church at Colby, Wis. The Rev. L. J. Lang officiated at the requiem high mass. Internment followed in the parish cemetery.

The pallbearers were Joe Sazama, John Sazama, Paul Sazama, Ed Hoffman, William Devorak and Ben Apfelbeck. The floral offerings were carried by the Misses Leona Hart, Jane Kramer, Delores Schmidt, Marie Sazama, Gertrude Apfelbeck and Margaret Schilling.

Mrs. Dickinson was born Mary Sazama in the Town of Hull, January 19, 1900. She was united in marriage to George Dickenson in the winter of 1922.

For the past two months, Mrs. Dickenson has been seriously ill and had been a patient at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, for five weeks. Carcinoma caused her death at her home Friday night at the age of 40. The body lay in state at the Lulloff Funeral Home, Colby, until the time of the funeral, Tuesday morning.

Surviving besides her husband are three small children, Donald, Robert and Kathleen; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wenzel Sazama, Colby; three brothers, Valentine, and Matt at home, George Sazama, Texas; three sisters, Mrs. Albert Weiss, Kaukauna, Mrs. Hugh Hamilton and Miss Leona Sazama, Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
