Anderegg, Clarence A. (30 APR 1923 - 21 OCT 2013)

Clarence A. Anderegg, age 90, formerly of Nekoosa, WI, died Monday, October 21, 2013 at the Wisconsin Veterans Home (422 Bell Avenue, MacArthur Hall), in King, WI.

Funeral services will be held on Friday (October 25) at 11 AM. at the Wisconsin Veterans Home Chapel in King, WI. Chaplain Richard Engle will officiate with military rites provided by the Wisconsin Veterans Home. Visitation will be held at the chapel from 9:30 AM. until 11:00 AM. Feldner/Ritchay Funeral Home of Nekoosa, WI is assisting the family. Online condolences may be expressed at www.ritchayfuneralhome.com. Memorials may be designated to Disabled American Veterans (DAV).

Clarence was born April 30, 1923 in the township of York, WI to Peter and Helen (Schulz) Anderegg. He married Delores Dankemyer on March 12, 1947 in Leavenworth, KS. She died May 24, 2013. Clarence served in the US Army from January 1943 to August 1953, during World War II and the Korean War. He was a mill worker at Nekoosa Papers, Inc. (Domtar) for 27 years, retiring in June 1979.

He was a member of the Nekoosa American Legion Post 9 and the Disabled American Veterans. Clarence and Delores were longtime members of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Nekoosa. Clarence was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. He was also a NASCAR fan.

Clarence is survived by four daughters, Louella Mae (Larry) Itzen of Wisconsin Rapids, WI, Glenda Sue Schmidt of Kirkland, Washington, Candace Marie (Andrew) Pazurek of Hillsboro, Missouri, Cathy Ann (Patrick) Foley of Stevens Point, WI; nine grandchildren, David Schmidt of Stevens Point, WI, Chad Pazurek of St. Louis, Missouri, Travis (TZ) Pazurek of St. Louis, Missouri, Ryan (Cindy) Schmidt of Palo Alto, CA, Evan (Kathy) Schmidt of Kirkland, WA, Sean (Jessica) Foley of Wisconsin Rapids, WI, Kelly (Josh) Hamburg of Wonnewoc, WI, Patrick Helton of Oshkosh, WI and Melissa Helton of Fort Riley, Kansas; twelve great grandchildren, Hunter Sipla, Bradley Sipla, Alayna Asp, Addie Asp, Alexandra Foley, Brock Foley, Kendall Foley, Ryder Schmidt, Grant Schmidt, Addison Helton, Kenley Schmidt, Parker Schmidt and two step great grandchildren, Jamie Schmidt and Kadence Hamburg, and one sister, Margaret Lenz of Marshfield.

Clarence was preceded in death by his wife, Delores, his parents, son in law, Kenneth Schmidt, great grandson, Wade Schmidt, two sisters, Marie and Caroline and two brothers, Peter and Verlin.
