Kmieciak, Veronica (1876? - 26 APR 1950)

Mrs. Veronica Kmieciak, 73, passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital at Chippewa Falls on Wednesday morning, April 26th, 1950, after a brief illness.

Rosary services will be held at the Thorp Funeral Home at 8:00 o’clock Thursday evening and funeral services will be held at St. Hedwig’s Church at 10:00 o’clock Friday morning. Burial will be made in Stanley.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. F. Piekarski and Rev. Ernest Kaim at St. Hedwig’s Church here (Thorp, Clark Co., Wis.) at 10:00 o’clock, April 28 for Mrs. Casimer Kmieciak, 73, who passed away of old age infirmities at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Chippewa Falls on April 26th, 1950.

Veronica Logman was born in Poland on Jan. 27, 1877. She came to America in 1892 and resided at Philadelphia, Pa. for 11 years, and where she was united in marriage in 1893 to Casimer Kmieciak, who preceded her in death. She spent 4 years in Stanley, 41 years on a farm near Thor and has been a resident of the city since 1947.

She is survived by seven sons, Leo of South St. Paul, Frank, Walter, Alois, Steve and Stanley of Chicago, and Kazimier of Thorp; four daughters, Mary, Mrs. Gust Nowak, Helen, Mrs. Mike Lewandowski of Chicago, Pearl, Mrs. John Klick, and Wanda, Mrs. Louis Gulczynski, of Thorp; one brother, Martin Tomkowiak, of Thorp. 28 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

She was laid to rest in St. Mary’s Cemetery at Stanley. Pallbearers were six sons, Leo, Frank, Walter, Alois, Steve and Stanley.
