GLEANER ENTERS UPON 36TH YEAR

With this issue the Greenwood Gleaner commences a new year. That the judgment of all concerned in having a paper in Greenwood is evidenced by the fine business we have enjoyed during the past year and the increasing trend of patronage.

We feel that our efforts have been appreciated, and we in turn fully appreciate the great help accorded us by the local and progressive people of Greenwood and vicinity. It is an earnest desire that the splendid cooperation between the people of this vicinity and its newspaper continue to merit the patronage given us and enjoy the same splendid assistance toward making the Greenwood Gleaner a leader among small town journals.

Regardless of any effort we may put forth, we cannot make a good paper alone, and we are thankful that we are among people who appreciate the value of a newspaper enough to help us in attaining the same degree of paper we like to publish.

The Gleaner is the newspaper of the people of this community and we trust they will continue to make it a fitting representation of this fine section of Wisconsin.

It is in this spirit that the Gleaner enters upon its thirty-sixth year of service to this community. May it guide as well as serve in the up building of this community.
