Gault, Judith Ann (Marriage - 24 January 1971)
Miss Judith Ann Gault became the bride of Michael Terry Kapfer Sunday, January 24, in a 4 p.m. double-ring ceremony performed by the Rev. Daniel Litzer at Calvary Lutheran Church in Neillsville. A reception for approximately 200 guests was held later at the Wildcat Inn.
Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Gault of Rt. 3 Neillsville, and Mr. and Mrs. Lee Kapfer, Rt. 2 Neillsville are the parents of the groom.
The bride given in marriage by her brother, Randy Gault, wore a floor-length gown of white crushed velvet fashioned with an empire waistline, high, stand-up collar and long, balloon-style sleeves. Her shoulder-length veil was held by a small crystal crown. She carried one long-stemmed pink rose.
Miss Mary Beth Roberts, maid of honor, and Miss Marilyn Lindow, bridesmaid, wore identical floor-length A-line gowns of rose petal pink velvet styled with high collars and long, puffed sleeves. Their headpieces consisted of pink velvet ribbons entwined with their hair. They each carried a single white mum.
Bestman was Wayne Brown of Hudson. Randy Gault served as groomsman. Ushers were James Simek, and Peter Manz, both of Neillsville, and John Bergemann of Milwaukee.
Kim and Kelly Kapfer, daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Kapfer of Rockford, Ill., were flower girls. Soloist Julie Knoff sang “The Lord’s Prayer.” She was accompanied by Marilyn Galstad.
The bride, a 1968 graduate of Neillsville High School is presently (balance of marriage was missing).
