Huntley, Grover Cleveland (26 October 1888 - 26 November 1954)

Grover became ill while serving on the election board on November 2 and had been in poor health since. He was 66 years of age when he died.

Grover received his education in rural schools and at the local high school in Neillsville.

For many years Huntley worked in the printing trade then operated a general merchandise store with his brother John. After some time he bought out his brother's interest and changed the business to a shoe store, which he operated for many years.

During World War II he was employed at the Badger Ordinance Works at Badger. He was a member of the Zion Evangelical and Reformed Church

Mr. Huntley is survived by his wife, Ella, a daughter, Mrs. Raymond (Marian) Arndt, Thorp, two sisters, Mrs. Elva Richardson and Mrs. Ellen Huntley both of Los Angeles California, and a grandson Gene.

A sister and three brothers preceded him in death.

The body will lie in state at the Georgas Funeral Home until Monday noon, when it will be taken to the Zion Church to lie in state until funeral services at 2 P.M. The Rev William F. Koehler will officiate and burial will take place in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

(Grover Cleveland Huntley was the son of William Huntley. He was born October 26, 1888 in Weston Township, Clark County, Wisconsin, and died November 26, 1954 in Neillsville, Wisconsin. He married Ella Schultz November 8, 1913 in Marshfield, Wisconsin.)
