Kissinger, Jacob (28 Mar. 1867 - 2 July 1942)

Jacob Kissinger, aged 75 years, who had lived on a farm at Spokeville the past 40 years, died last Thursday afternoon at 1:00 o'clock at St. Joseph hospital in Marshfield. The deceased was born March 28, 1867 and during his boyhood he worked in lumber camps and mills in the Spencer vicinity. He was married in Spencer 40 years ago. His wife died March 18, 1935.

Funeral services were held at the Swarthout Funeral Home in Spencer Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, the Rev. Ellery J. Beals, pastor of the Methodist church, in charge of the services, and burial was made in the Spencer cemetery.

Surviving Mr. Kissinger are a son, Alvin Kissinger of Chili; two step children, Mrs. Cora Dietsche of Milwaukee and Mrs. John Robinson of Milton Junction; a brother, Phillip Kissinger of Spencer; two sisters, Mrs. Emma Wagner and Mrs. Proctor of Owen, and 17 grandchildren.

Pall bearers were Jonas Ayer, Fred Reas, Lowell Schultz, Chauncy Stevens, Len Griffith and Albert Vanderhoof. Flowers were in charge of Mrs. Jonas Ayer, Mrs. Ed. Stevens, Mrs. Lowell Schultz and Mrs. Albert Vanderhoof.

Out of town relatives and friends present were Mr. and Mrs. John Robinson and family of Milton Junction; Mrs. Cora Dietsche of Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Kissinger and son of Spokeville; Mr. and Mrs. Alpheus Dietsche of Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Harm Procter and family, Mr. and Mrs. E. Hunerjager and daughter of Owen; Mr. and Mrs. Harry Bender and family and Ervin Nichols of Colby; Mrs. Charles Rahm, Mrs. Mildred English, Walter and Charles Giloy, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Krahn and Mr. and Mrs. Albert Schroeder of Loyal.
