Colburn, Joseph W. #2 (1820 - 18 OCT 1905)

Miles M. Colburn of Malacca, Minn., arrived at Neillsville (Clark Co., Wis.) last Friday, Oct. 20, with the remains of his father, J.W. Colburn, for burial. The aged man passed away at Malacca on Wednesday, Oct. 18th, aged 85 years. The funeral services had been held at Malacca, but brief services were held here at the undertaking parlor of Jos. Lowe, by Rev. Rohrabaugh. He is survived by the two sons, Miles M. and Warren. Mr. Colburn for many years resided in the town of Washburn, and was, indeed, one of the oldest settlers. He was a plain spoken, mater of fact man, endowed with his share of shrewd commons sense and worldly wisdom.
