McCray, C. Blaine (30 May 1917 - 8 Jan. 2009)

C. Blaine McCray, 91, of Owen died Thursday, Jan. 8, 2009, at his home. Private family services are scheduled. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery, Withee. The Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Mr. McCray was born May 30, 1917, in Tomah, the son of Ira and Hazel (Shaw) McCray. He attended Owen Schools. As a youngster, Blaine helped out in the family restaurant.

On April 28, 1940, at Saint Katherine's Episcopal Church in Owen, Blaine was united in marriage to the former Pauline Ritter. She preceded him in death Aug. 30, 2006.

The couple moved to Chicago, where Mr. McCray worked as a machinist. They later returned to Owen where Blaine was employed at Teledyne Post. He later worked at Spencer Homes until the time of his retirement.

He is survived by his daughter, Bonnie Marcott, Owen, four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
