Starkey, Virginia (Marriage - 29 Oct. 1938)

A simple nuptial service, performed at 2:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon at Spencer, united in marriage Miss Virginia Starkey and Arnold Haslow, both of Loyal.

Traditional white satin designed with long sleeves, puffed at the shoulder and tapering to a point over the hand, was worn by the bride. Her white tulle veil fell en train from a cap-effect headdress, and she carried a bouquet of roses and snapdragons.

Miss Lucille Jensen, Marshfield, and Arnold Haslow, both of Loyal, who attended as bridesmaid, was attired in a blue taffeta frock in jacket effect and wore a corsage of roses and snapdragons.

Harold Pagelsdorf, Loyal, attended the bridegroom as best man. Both wore conventional suits of dark blue and boutonnieres of roses.

In the evening Mr. and Mrs. Paul Haslow brother and sister-in-law of the bridegroom, entertained approximately 40 guests at an 8 o'clock wedding dinner at their home in Loyal. A wedding dance was held Sunday night at the Spencer Municipal Hall.

Mr. Haslow and his bride will reside on his farm in Loyal, where he has a milk route.

*** Note: The date of marriage was taken from Virginia’s obituary.
