On Saturday morning, Sept. 6th, 1947, at 11 o’clock, at a Nuptial Mass, Miss Ann Gertrude Harycki, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Basil Harycki, became the cride of Frank N. Briski, son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Briski Sr., with Rev. Mahoney performing the double ring ceremony at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church in Chicago.

The bride, who entered the church on a white rug, was given in marriage by her father, was beautifully attired in a white bridal satin gown, the rounded neckline was set in with marquisette with baby pearls. The sleeves were pointed at the wrist. The full gathered skirt extended in a long train. Her fingertip veil was held in place by a Queen Elizabeth crown. Her only jewelry was a single strand of pearls. The bride carried white roses and white baby mums with streamers.

After the ceremony the bride dedicated a bouquet of white gladioli at the altar of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Miss Mary Briski, sister of the groom, was the bride’s only attendant. She was attired in an aqua crepe trimmed with matching sequin. She carried yellow roses with a matching cluster in her hair.

The groom wore a tuxedo and a carnation boutonniere. He was attended by Albert Taghon, a buddy from the service, from Moline, Ill. He also wore a tuxedo with a carnation boutonniere.

The bride’s mother wore a grey crepe dress with navy blue accessories. The groom’s mother wore a blue picture dress with navy blue accessories. They both wore corsages of red roses and white carnations.

Immediately following the ceremony a wedding breakfast was served at the bride’s sister’s home fo the immediate family, A seven thirty dinner was served at Klas’ with a reception following for the immediate family.

The newlyweds, after a two week trip through northern Wisconsin and Michigan, will make their home in Chicago, where they both are employed.

Out of town guests at the wedding were: Mr. and Mrs. Basil Harycki of Thorp, Wis.; Mrs. Michael Briski, Jr. of Greenwood, Mr. and Mrs. Michael Briski, Sr., and Miss Ill; Mr. and Mrs. Jack Mueller and family of Berwyn, Ill; and Mrs. Albert Taghon of Moline, Ill.
