Colby, Wis. - June 5, 1958

Miss Arva Sturner of Milwaukee spent the week-end with her brother, O. W. Sturner.

Mrs. Edna Waldhart and son, Buzzie, were recent supper guests at the Glen Shupe home at Spencer.

Pat Blanchard of Milwaukee spent the week-end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Blanchard.

Mrs. Elsie Bunn of Detroit, Mich., spent the past week with her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Bane.

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Partridge are spending about a week in Bloomington, Ill., with the former’s parents, brothers and sisters.

Mrs. John Knebel and daughter, Marcella, of Villa Park, Ill., former Colby residents, spent several days with friends here.

Mr. and Mrs. Ken Pasholk and daughters of Chicago, Ill., spent the week-end with Mrs. Pasholk’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Herb Steinwand.

Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Morgan and children of Fond du Lac spent the week-end with Mrs. Morgan’s brothers, Ed and Lawrence Allmann, and their families.

Mr. and Mrs. Ronny Schoelzel and two sons of Lake Villa, Ill., were week-end guests at the home of Mrs. Schoelzel’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Art Wiersig.

George Hansen, Jr., with the U.S. Navy, returned to Annapolis, Md., Wednesday after spending a 20-day leave with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Hansen, Sr.

Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Mossing and three daughters of Chicago, Ill., spent the week-end in Colby with the former’s mother, Mrs. Claudia Mossing, and in Neillsville with Mrs. Clarence Mossing’s parents.

Mr. and Mrs. William Serdar and three daughters of Gurnee, Ill., spent several days with Mrs. Serdar’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Bane and the former’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Serdar.

Mr. and Mrs. Halver Becken, Jr., and daughter of Milwaukee were week-end guests of Mrs. Becken’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Herb Steinwand, and the former’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Halver Becken, Sr.

Mr. and Mrs. John Gries of Colby and their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Lester Miller of Abbotsford, attended the golden wedding celebration of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Gries at Menasha on May 25. John and Joe are brothers.

Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Orth, Sr., Mr. and Mrs. Paul Tesmer, Mrs. McKinnon, Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Orth, Jr., and Norman Orth attended funeral services for Mrs. Lena Elclepp at Phillips last Thursday.

Mrs. Herbert Fenner and daughter, Wilma, of Loyal called at the W. W. Sossaman home Monday and Mrs. Ivan Larson of Marshfield was a Wednesday supper and evening guest at the Sossaman home.

Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Scidmore and daughter returned to Annapolis, Md., Wednesday after spending Lloyd’s 20-day leave with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Scidmore and Mr. and Mrs. William Sedlack.

Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Sossaman and children and Mr. and Mrs. Claude Sossaman and children of Muskego spent the week-end with relatives here. Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Sossaman and children moved from Milwaukee to Abbotsford, Wis.

Mr. and Mrs. William Sedlack attended the golden wedding celebration of Mrs. Sedlack’s brother and sister-in-law at Marshfield Saturday. Also present at the celebration were all the attendants at the wedding 50 years ago.
