Abbotsford, Wis. -- Mary A. Pecher, 94, of Abbotsford, Wisconsin died Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2008, at the Golden Living Center-Continental Manor in Abbotsford, Wis.

Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Mary Anna Pecher, 95, of Abbotsford, formerly of Athens and Dorchester, died Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2008, at the Golden Living Center-Continental Manor in Abbotsford, Wis.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 5, 2008, at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Milan. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of service Friday at the church in Milan.

The Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home of Abbotsford is assisting the family with the arrangements. Mary was born Sept. 25, 1913, in rural Athens to John and Mary (Lewandowski) Felzkowski. Mary married George J. Pecher on Aug. 24, 1932, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Athens. Mary and George farmed in the town of Johnson. Along with handling farming operations, Mary also worked at the Athens Canning Factory, Standard Container in Edgar and Marathon Cheese Company where she was employed for 13 years until her retirement. Her husband, George, passed away Nov. 11, 1985.

Mary is survived by her children, Rose Mary (Harvey) Soczka, Edgar, Clem (Grace) Pecher, Marshfield, Urban (Janet) Pecher, Marshfield, Duane (Pat) Pecher, Stetsonville, Pat (Jim) Miller of Dorchester; 19 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
