Sterzinger, Frank (24 Dec. 1888 - 13 Aug. 1957)

Frank Sterzinger, well-known town of Colby farmer, died Monday morning, August 13 at 4:00 A.M. at the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital, at the age of 68 years, seven months and 19 days, heart complications being the cause of his death. A rosary will be said this Thursday evening at 8:00 o’clock at the Lulloff Funeral Home where the body now lies in state. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 16, at 9:30 A.M., at St. Mary’s Catholic church, Rev. John B. Pinion officiating, and internment will be made in the Colby (Colby, Clark Co. Wis.) Cemetery. Pall bearers will be Rudolph Sterzinger, Frank G. Sterzinger, Mathias Allar, Eldred Zahorka, Raymond Kleinstick and Delmer Radeztsky.

Mr. Sterzinger was born in Colby, Wisconsin on December 24, 1888. He married Laura Radeztsky at Colby on June 2, 1914, after which they engaged in farming.

Surviving are his widow; a daughter, Mrs. Rudolph (Adeline) Vesely of Schofield; three sons, Gorman Sterzinger of Eureka, Ill., Major Morris Sterzinger of Tokyo, Japan, Randall Sterzinger of Colby; one brother, Joseph Sterzinger of Colby; 28 grand children and four great grand children.

Mr. Sterzinger was treasurer of the town of Colby for 33 years and was also a director of the Hull Town Mutual Insurance Co. He was well known for his fine Christian character, always conscientiously performing his duties, and, being of a congenial disposition, was well-liked by all who knew him.
