Buse, Rhoda (27 DEC 1943)

A quiet service in the presence of immediate relatives united in marriage Jack Pengelly and Rhoda Buse, both of Loyal, on Monday afternoon, Dec. 27, at 3 o’clock in the parsonage of the Lutheran church at Spencer, the Rev. A. C. Staple officiating.

The bride is the second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Buse of Loyal. She graduated from the Spencer high school and Central State Teachers college in Stevens Point and has been teaching in Clark county schools for three years, at the present time in the Taft school.

She was attired for her wedding in a dark green wool jersey street dress, with hat and veil to match, and carried an armful of large ivory chrysanthemums. Her only attendant was her sister, Mrs. Arnold Bruesewitz of Spencer, the former Isabel Buse, who wore a frock of soft rust, with matching hat, and a corsage of chrysanthemums in shades of rust and yellow.

Jack is the only son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Pengelly and graduated from the Loyal high school in 1938, since which time he has been engaged in farming with his brother-in-law, Maj. William Zins, U.S. Army Air Corps, husband of the former Peggy Pengelly.

After the ceremony, a wedding dinner was served to the families at the home of the bride’s parents. The young couple left immediately for a honeymoon trip to Cincinnati, O., and New York City. They accompanied Major and Mrs., Zins, who were returning after a holiday leave spent here with relatives.

The Tribune extends to the young couple its wishes for a happy wedded life.
