Cardarelle, Michael (31 March 1896 - 1950)

Joe Cardarelle and Mrs. Ed Hagie have returned from Texas, after attending the funeral of their brother, Michael Cardarelle.

Mr. Cardarelle was buried in Sam Houston National Cemetery May 29, 1950, with full military honors. He was a veteran of World War One, served in Company A of Neillsville, was a 30-year member of the American Legion and a life member of the D. A. V., Alamo Post No. 2.

Mr. Cardarelle was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. L. Cardarelle of Pine Valley. He was born March 31, 1896; was 54 years of age at death.

He is survived by his wife Wineta; by four brothers: John of Minneapolis, Joe of Neillsville, Louis of West Bend and Tony of Oakland, Ga.; four sisters - Mrs. John (Anna) Anthony of Madison, Mrs. C. D. (Zanza) Cook of Des Moines, Ia., Mrs. Ed (Amelia) Hagie of Neillsville and Mrs. Irvin (Vivian) Denkman of Junction City, Wis.

Mr. Cardarelle’s last visit to Neillsville was made two years ago, when all the brothers and sisters were together in a family reunion for the first time in about 35 years.
