Unity, Wis. - May 30, 1957

Bible school at the Methodist church began Monday and will continue for a week. Teachers are Mrs. Graham Thayer, Mrs. Gordon Lynn and Mrs. Ethan Zimmerman.

Eleven students graduated from the Unity school. They are: Douglas ?, Jerry Sukow, Patty Salter, Bertha Martin, John Moede, James Moede, Robert Jeske, Lonnie Dearth, Roger Kilty, Ronnie Bloom and Jim Ingersoll.

Gilbert Wiedenhoeft brought his wife home from Heart Hospital in Minneapolis where she had spent the greater part of the past four and one-half months.

Mrs. Theodore Domer and Mrs. John Olson attended the wedding of Mrs. George Cox and Carl Arthur Erickson at the Owen Congregational church last week Wednesday afternoon. Others from the community also attended the reception in the evening at Cherokee Park. Mrs. Cox, the former Leslea Snowberg, and Erickson are former residents of Unity now living near Spencer. They are employed at the box factory in Colby, Wis.

Graham Thayer, accompanied by Jerry Loughead, left Monday to deliver a trailer to Revere, Mass.

Mrs. John Johnson entertained relatives Tuesday night, May 21, following graduation exercises at the Colby High School. The Johnson’s daughter, Eileen, was a member to the graduating class.

Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Schultz and child have moved from Marshfield to the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Schultz, in the town of Brighton. He purchased 80 acres and barn from Paul Greening who retained 40 acres and the house. Schultz drives a milk truck for the Mandel cheese factory.

The residence formerly owned by the late Mr. and Mrs. Victor Josephson on the west side has been sold to Theodore Howard.

Mrs. Theresa Rueden had surgery Thursday at the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital on a broken hip suffered in a fall two and one-half months ago. Following her release from the hospital after the fall, Mrs. Rueden entered the Havenet Nursing Home at Owen and remained there until her return to the hospital three weeks ago.

A son was born to Mr. and Mrs. Robert Cook of Ashland. Robert is the grand son of George S. Cook.
